About Us

WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

In search of domestic short-term missions, one of our members discovered trips to large urban cities. Then the question arose: “Why go there at a later time, when I could help here and now?” Dallas has the 8th largest population in the U.S. If we take some time to step outside of our daily life, we will notice how our neighbors need love and compassion.

WHO WE ARE

We’re a community of multi-cultural young adults (“20-30 somethings”) from different denominations who gather once a month for community service in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.

We attend different churches but move as One Body to:

  • Serve
  • Evangelize
  • Connect

WHAT WE DO

We organize regular service opportunities with local community agencies and communicate these events to you through our website and Facebook group (One Body DFW).
 

WHY WE DO IT

To love this broken world like Jesus loves us (1 John 3:18) and to glorify God (Philippians 2:9-11).

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

WHAT WE BELIEVE

One Body DFW was founded and is currently organized by members of the Vietnamese Baptist Church of Garland. Participants of One Body DFW events come from different churches and denominations. We welcome anyone who wants to join us and move as One Body to serve, evangelize and connect.
